Watermarks are special logos displayed on images, which prove their authenticity. An image which has a watermark on it will be much difficult to edit and nobody will be able to steal the image and pretend it is his. But in order to create and add watermarks to images, you will need a specialized application for this purpose. One such application is PhotoX.

This Windows program allows you to add watermarks to any image, but also includes some other useful features when dealing with photos. After installing and launching the application, the user will be presented with a graphical and tabbed interface. The first thing to do is to load the desired photo or group of photos into the program's interface. This can be done either by selecting images one by one or by selecting complete image folders. After loading the desired images, the user will be able to fully customize the watermark, adjust its transparency, position, customize the font type and size and so on.

He will be even able to use images as watermarks and place them anywhere on the photo. Besides adding watermarks, PhotoX can also convert a photo into grayscale and can also generate thumbnails, which are useful for placing on the web or in forums. What's more, the brightness and contrast of a photo can be customized, by using two sliders. Unfortunately, there is no option for automatically adjusting these settings.

The last tab of the interface allows combining features together, for producing a more interesting effect.

Pros

It allows you to add any kind of watermark to a photo, which can be either text or a graphical logo. Besides that, there are numerous options for customizing the watermark. What's more, multiple images can be loaded into the program's interface. Furthermore, images can be converted to grayscale and can also have thumbnails generated.

Cons

Having so many features for customizing watermarks, some users may get confused. PhotoX allows you to place watermarks on multiple photos at the same time and correct them using numerous options.
